In keeping your visit historically correct, you will
experience life as it was when the West was wild and Fort Worth was young.
From the decor of the rooms, the ambiance of the era and the lifestyle of shared *common
areas, you will step back in time and live the lifestyle of the late 1800's and early 1900's.
Just like "back when" you can enjoy the experience of gathering in the parlor with new acquaintances
from around the state, all around the country or most likely from other countries!
*shared common areas; as they were referred to in the "day"
are the restrooms, shower and tub rooms.
MADAM POLLY, YOUR HOSTESS?!
Miss Molly's is much more than a business. It is much more than just a place you can rent a room. It's a Total Experience
of the "Old West" Lifestyle.
Let yourself drift back through Fort Worth's past by spending the weekend at Miss Molly's Hotel, a bed-and-breakfast right
in the heart of the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards.
Within "shoutin" distance of the Dallas--Fort Worth Metropolitan Area, it's still an escape from the fast paced
outside world. You won't find telephones or television sets cluttering your room.
Miss Molly's, built about 1910, is located above the Star Café in the midst of Fort Worth's Stockyards in the north end
of town.
The former brothel gives visitors an authentic look at the city's somewhat raucous and rowdy past. A sign outside one
of the rooms says: "Street ladies bringing in sailors must pay for room in advance."
A favorite room for bed-and-breakfast guests is Miss Josie's Room, named after a former madam. The room was originally
decorated in red velvet, but now has a fabric on the ceiling and lace covering everything from pillows to curtains.
There is a wood burning stove along with a private bathroom complete with an old fashioned bathtub and a pull-chain toilet.
Outside our door you'll discover the colorful history of the stockyards, "Where a man was judged by his word and the
speed of his gun," Museums, shopping, dining or boot-scooting country saloons are just part of our charm along with
the nation's only daily cattle drive along our brick streets (right through the middle of town). Come let us make
"The Wild West" come alive for you, because here in the stockyards there is a fine line between then and now, A Very Fine
Line indeed!

Miss Molly's Bed & Breakfast, Fort Worth
As the drovers on the street below brought in herd after herd of longhorns, hitting every saloon
and dance hall on the way to the stockyards, the guests in the second-floor walk-up gazed down, primly elevated from the fray.
In the early 1900s, the eight rooms that now make up Fort Worth's best bed-and-breakfast housed the guests of Miss Amelia
Eisner's Furnished Rooms, an oh-so-proper hotel.
By the 1930s, however, the wild ways of the stockyard district had had their influence; the
hotel had become an infamous brothel named for its madam, Miss Josie.
Each themed room opens to a main parlor area which includes period
furniture and seating, with an overhead stained glass skylight, which can accomodate small gatherings and parties.
Three "*common
areas" are available for guests down the hall from their rooms, with two featuring claw foot iron tubs and a third a shower,
with pull-chain toilets.
Bathrobes are provided during your stay.
The rooms are non-smoking, with a balcony
available next to the kitchen for smokers to use.
Just down the street is the largest honky tonk in the world, Billy
Bob's and the White Elephant Saloon where scenes from Walker Texas Ranger were filmed.
Twice daily, you can see Texas
longhorns as they are steered towards the original stockyards, along Exchange Avenue right in front of the hotel.
Miss
Molly's Bed & Breakfast Hotel is located at 109 W. Exchange Avenue Suite 200, above the Star Cafe (the area's oldest restaurant)
in the Stockyard Historic District. Be sure to look for the Star Cafe sign on the building, for the entrance to Miss Molly's.
*shared common areas;
as they were referred to in the "day"are the restrooms, shower and tub rooms.
